What is peace?
The definition in the Merriam-Webster dictionary (online) says this:
1 : a state of tranquillity or quiet: as
a : freedom from civil disturbance
b : a state of security or order within a community provided for by law or custom <a breach of the peace>
2 : freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions…
In honor of the late Martin Luther King Junior and the inauguration of President Obama to his second term, I thought I would share this thoughtful perspective on the concept of Peace and our challenge as humans living in a "civilized" society.
