Creative Inspiration: Quotes Cultural Creatives Live By

words-to-live-by-9

I have had the pleasure of being inspired by a global collection of “cultural creatives” over the last week.  I should say I get to be inspired by people frequently, as my profession and passion centers around observing, analyzing, unearthing meaning and advancing understanding of our mysterious human race. 😉

However, in this case, I have been carefully curating said menagerie towards the ends of a client project.  In doing so I have asked each person I have engaged to share a quote with me that represents a philosophy they live by.   Here is a sample of what I got back.  To awesome not to share with all of you:

“When everyone is trying to be something, be nothing. Range with emptiness.” –  Shams Tabrizi

“The most meaningful statements can be taken seriously in comic sans.” – Anne Ishii

“In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order.” – Carl Jung

“Everyday is a birthday; every moment of it is new to us; we are born again, renewed for fresh work and endeavor.” – Issac Watts

“To dance to death! What more glorious end?” – Emma Goldman

“Walk by faith, not by sight.” – Corinthians; 5:7

“Pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will” – Antonio Gramsci

“Progression can not happen without Accountability. When this happens, Progression will lead to Sustainability for all those involved in moving forward, but not forgetting where we came from.” – Ann San Suu Kyi

“We are visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety or one hundred years at the very most. During that period, we must try to do something good, something useful, with our lives. If you contribute to other people’s happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life.” – Dalai Lama

“Keep calm and remain fierce.” – Lohla Ramona

“People like you and me never grow old. We never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we were born.” – Albert Einstein

“Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all is a form of planning.” ― Gloria Steinem

, “Expecting the world to be fair with you because you are fair, is like expecting a lion not to eat you because you don’t eat lions.”  – Anonymous

“All art is decadence.”  – Picasso

“Life is a shipwreck. We must not forget to sing in the lifeboats.” – Voltaire

“The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy – it’s all that matters” – Audrey Hepburn

And my personal favorite (albeit a common stand by):  “Be the change you want to see in the world” – Mahatma Gandhi

ThePopularitéBug

Being a popular kid isn't easy, you have to be cautious about every move of yours because you know that all eyes are on you.Not just the eyes that look up to you but also the eyes that love to see you in pain. You might have your own list of followers but with this list there exists the "popularity starved crowd" who wants to replace you.But when reality bites these morons and they're back to square one, hurt and angry with themselves they try to make you the victim of their moment of high adrenaline, just to make you suffer because you're better. They try to clean their head by ruining your perfect life. What's more is right then you realize that none of your "friends" are what they appear to be.You're broken, depressed .You feel the need to talk to someone of your own kind, someone who won't judge you and that's when you can find me at thepopularitébug,I promise to do anything and everything to help you out of your problem!Amen.

AMERICAN MALE

Often described as a blog, an online magazine, a journal. When examined further the description changes and it becomes a project, an objective, a mission. American Male is one simple thing. It is a collection of different thoughts and experiences so come share yours and be part of the narrative.
